‍The Butt Livestock & Property 13th Annual XB Lamb Circuit Sale saw a return of regular buyers and clients who come and seek out quality XB lambs that perform and fatten for their buyers.
Friday week ago, Butt Livestock and Property sold 15,137 lambs to average $99.30. This sale is the only lamb sale of its kind. Perhaps old-fashioned and not online, this sale is unique in that it allows buyers to view and buy large runs of lambs in tight weight ranges. In most instances, they can buy runs of lambs with a weight difference of top to bottom of 4-6kg.Buyers over the years have developed a rapport with the vendors and provided positive feedback, ensuring our clients continue to buy good genetics and present lambs that meet the needs of the buyers.

Regular and repeat buyers came from Forbes, Albury, Corowa, Yenda, Yarrawonga, Dubbo, Wagga, Cootamundra, and Harden. Of the 15,137 lambs sold, 3762 lambs were weighed 36kg+ and sold to an average of $3.22p/kg. 6420 lambs were weighed 30-35kg to average $3.14p/kg. 3579 lambs were weighed from 25-30kg to average $3.00p/kg, and 1376 from 20-25kg to average $2.82p/kg.

‍Sale 2, SL & AJ Faulder: Sold 880 lambs. The top draft of 252 WS X Merino Lambs, unweaned, predominantly Sept drop, averaged 36.2kg for $107.50 or $2.97p/kg.
‍Sale 3, Longaroo Past Co: Sold 1166 PD X Merino Lambs, unweaned, Aug/Sept drop, to repeat buyers who have purchased them every year for the last 13 years. Sold in 4 runs of 22.5kg ave, 27.2kg ave, 31.9kg ave, and 36.6kg to average $76.56.
‍Sale 4, Cavan Station, Yass: Sold 2064 lambs. The top 763 PD X Merino Lambs, Rowallan and Kentish Downs bld, unweaned, averaged 40kg and sold for $135 or $3.38p/kg. Another 495 lambs averaged 30kg for $103.50 or $3.45p/kg.
‍Sale 5, Yanawe Pastoral Co: Sold 674 lambs. The 3rd draft of 313 WS X Merino Lambs, Aug/Sept drop, Glenfinnan PLG bld, unweaned, averaged 27kg and sold for $85.50 or $3.17p/kg.
‍Sale 6, Riverview Trust: Sold 200 PD X Merino Lambs, Aug/Sept drop, unweaned, weighed 21-28.5kg to average 24.8kg for $81.50 or $3.29p/kg.
‍Sale 6, Bimbadeen Past Co: Sold 296 PD X Merino Lambs, Jul/Aug drop, to average 21.5kg for $69.50 or $3.23p/kg.
‍Sale 6, ET & JA Gruber & Henry Miller Partnership: Sold 334 PD X Merino Lambs, Aug/Sept drop, unweaned, to average 29.8kg and sold for $95.00 or $3.19p/kg.
‍Sale 7, Balgalal Past Co, Binalong: Sold 331 second X lambs, Rowallan bld, Jul/Aug drop, unweaned, weighed 36kg+ to average 39.5kg for $145 or $3.67p/kg. Another 427 second X lambs weighed 30-35kg to average 32.6kg for $122.50 or $3.76p/kg.
‍Sale 8, MFA Elsegood, Bookham: Sold 241 WS X Merino Lambs, Jul/Aug drop, unweaned, of Glenfinnan PLG bld, that averaged 37.8kg for $127 to average $3.36p/kg.
‍Sale 9, Ferndale Family Trust, Bookham: Sold 323 Lambs to average $119.18. The 171 WS X Merino Lambs, Glenfinnan PLG bld, May/June drop, averaged 41.5kg and sold for $130 or $3.13p/kg.
‍Sale 10, RW & ST Hyles, Berremangra: Sold 803 WS X Merino Lambs, Jun/Jul drop, weaned. The top 414 averaged 40.4kg for $126 or $3.12p/kg.
